Walter Dacon Wines is dedicated to Rhône and Mediterranean style wines and sources grapes from select vineyard sites in the Yakima and Columbia Valleys of Washington State.
Our wines bring home the richness of a centuries-old tradition of vinification. Hand crafted through the unique art of blending, which is the rule in the Rhône, and aged in French and American oak barrels, Walter Dacon wines reveal the underlying fruit blended with gentle, precision use of oak.

Winemaker Lloyd Anderson

After earning a degree in Silviculture at the University of California, Berkeley in 1974, Lloyd made a career of nurturing and sustaining the timberlands of Washington State. In 2002 he followed his passion for fine wine and began studying Enology and Viticulture at UC Davis and at Chemeketa College in Salem, Oregon. Today, he continues to be a seeker of elegance and finesse in his winemaking style.

Red ------------- ---	2006 C'est Syrah Beaux Appellation: Columbia Valley Winemaker: Lloyd Anderson Sweet, rich vanilla, minerals and oak barrel aromas lead into the dark, ripe black fruit spiciness of this wine. Bright, clean, powerful, extracted cherry and berry flavors are supported by an aggressive yet not overshadowing oak presence that pleases the palate. Fine grade tannin and firm acidity layer in texture with the nicely balanced fruit.
